At Sherborne Girls, we believe that a transformative education should be within reach for every girl with the potential to thrive — regardless of her background. Our Candlelight Bursaries provide full-fee support for girls whose home circumstances make boarding not just an opportunity, but a life-changing experience for them and their families.
These bursaries are not about selecting the most gifted — they are about recognising promise, character and courage. By offering outstanding pastoral care, academic support and co-curricular enrichment, we empower each girl to grow in confidence and contribute meaningfully to her school and wider community.
We’re proud to partner with the Royal National Children’s SpringBoard Foundation (RNCSF) to identify girls who would benefit most from this opportunity. In turn, many go on to inspire others — raising aspirations and becoming role models in their home communities.
