We're delighted to welcome you to Sherborne Girls as early as possible in the admissions process. You can either come to one of our popular Tour Mornings/Afternoons or arrange an individual visit. Whatever you choose, you'll have a chance to meet senior staff and get to know the Admissions Team.

Registration

If your daughter wants to join for 11+ entry, we recommend you complete the registration form by the time she finishes Year 5. This gives you all the best opportunity to build a relationship with the School and get to know our staff.

Online Assessments

Entry is through ATOM online tests sat at Sherborne Girls as part of the 11+ Assessment and Boarding Taster Weekend in December of Year 6.

There are two parts to these tests:

Part 1 - Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English and Mathematics.

Part 2 – Problem solving and creative writing.

All applicants will also have an interview with a member of senior staff.

Scholarship Applications

All girls will be assessed for possible academic scholarship awards as part of the entrance assessments at the Boarding Taster and Assessment Weekend.

Girls may apply for consideration for Junior scholarships in Music or Sport.

Boarding Taster & Assessments

We invite all girls registered for 11+ entry to a Boarding Taster and Assessment stay. As well as giving a flavour of life in our Junior Boarding House, it includes online assessments and an interview.

Music & Sports Scholarships

Music and Sport scholarship assessments take place in late January. Girls must be registered with the School to be considered for a scholarship.

Scholarship offers are made to prospective pupils in the February of Year 6.

Acceptance

We make our offers following assessment. Once an offer is accepted, the place is reserved for your daughter. If you have not registered in time for the Assessment Day and we still have places available, we are happy to assess your daughter at a later date.

New Girls' Information

All new girls are sent a special pack of information in the summer term before their arrival in September. It tells them what to expect in the first few days, together with a packing list, a timetable of a typical day, and general House guidelines.

New Girls' Tea

New Girls' Tea is an opportunity for girls and their families to meet other new girls and the House staff.
