It is a huge decision, as well as a major investment, and we are here to make your Sherborne journey as personal, and as easy, as possible. Our website will provide you with a greater insight into life at our fabulous School, but don’t just take our word for it – please do come and visit us. The Application Process
How and when to apply will depend on your chosen year group, and we’ve outlined the key steps for each entry point below. By the time your son starts at the School we hope to have built a strong relationship with your whole family so you feel very much part of the Sherborne community and your son feels confident, connected, and ready to thrive as a Shirburnian from day one.
We accept registrations year-round, though we recommend registering by the end of Year 5 for those taking assessments in Year 6. To register, simply request a link to our registration portal. A £300 fee (including VAT) is payable at this stage. If your son is successful following assessment, a deposit will be required to secure his place. Third Form (Year 9) entry
Boys that join the School in the Third Form come from a wide variety of different schools each year and from all over the world.

Our Sixth Form provides an exciting, enjoyable, challenging and highly fulfilling programme, which enables boys to access wonderful pathways and make a positive difference for themselves and to the wider world.
