Joining the Sixth Form at Sherborne Boys is a proud milestone. Boys step into leadership roles, becoming role models and helping shape a culture of empathy, kindness, and mutual respect. The Prefect system gives Upper Sixth boys responsibility within Boarding Houses and across School life, including leadership of pupil voice committees that drive positive change.
In the classroom, Sixth Formers are encouraged to lead discussion, extend their thinking, and apply their knowledge to real-world problems. Greater freedom – including managing their own time and wearing suits – signals a new level of responsibility. This shift is both symbolic and real, preparing boys for life beyond Sherborne Boys.
