PSHE & RSE at Hanford Prep
We are dedicated to helping our girls grow into well-rounded individuals who feel confident, supported, and ready to thrive!
Our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) curriculum is designed to engage and guide pupils from Year 3 to Year 8 through important stages of their personal development, empowering them to make informed choices, build healthy relationships, and understand themselves and the world around them.
In line with government requirements, it is statutory for us to deliver PSHE and Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) to all pupils.
These lessons are not just a requirement; they are an essential part of our commitment to supporting our girls’ emotional wellbeing and personal growth.
Given Hanford Prep's commitment to cherishing childhood, this is taught in an age-appropriate and sensitive manner.
Our RSE programme helps girls to understand relationships, respect, and the physical and emotional changes they experience as they grow. We create a safe, open space where the girls are encouraged to ask questions and feel supported in their learning.
By the time they leave us, we aim to ensure our girls are confident, compassionate, and equipped with the skills to navigate the complexities of growing up with positivity and respect for others.
At Hanford Prep, we are committed to preparing every girl for a bright future, giving them the tools they need to make thoughtful decisions, stay safe, and contribute to their communities with kindness and empathy as they move on to their next schools.
Our RSE policy can be viewed on our School Policies page.
