Fourth Form (Years 7 & 8) | Sherborne Girls School

Life in the Fourth Form

The first two years at Sherborne Girls are known as Lower Fourth (L4) and Upper Fourth (U4).

For these younger pupils, our curriculum deliberately remains broad. The emphasis is on creativity, exploration and investigation, the development of outdoor learning as well as inter-disciplinary learning combining themes in subjects such as history, geography, and religious studies.

We were one of the first independent schools in the UK to create a junior 'Diploma' aimed at fostering a natural curiosity and a love of learning, aligned to our school values.
