Matilda the Musical!
Parents and guests were treated to two wonderful performances of Hanford’s whole school production of Matilda The Musical at the end of last term. With every girl involved, staff hard at work on props and costumes, and even a surprise walk-on appearance from one of our beloved Hanford ponies, it was a show that delighted and amazed in equal measure.
The girls had spent weeks rehearsing, somehow managing to fit it all in alongside their school work, exams, sports matches, and the busy flurry of end-of-term activities. Their energy, commitment, and enthusiasm shone through, and the result was a production full of sparkle and humour that made us all truly proud.
The final performance on Parents’ Day particularly stood out. From the opening number to the rousing finale, the audience were captivated. The marquee rang with laughter and applause, and as the 'curtain' came down, there was no mistaking the joy on the faces of parents, staff, and - most importantly - the girls themselves.
It was a moment of pure Hanford magic, leaving everyone beaming from ear to ear.
